5. Blessings of Marriages- all weekend masses 2/15-2/16/20

 

5. Request for last year’s palms to be brought back to church by the weekend of 2/15-2/16, in preparation for Ash Wednesday (2/26/20)

 

5. Masses for Ash Wednesday (2/26/20) at St Mary’s 10:00am & 7:00pm 

• Other masses available at the other Mater Dei churches – see bulletin

• Confirmed senior choir would sing at 10 am mass, and folk group at 7 pm mass
•  

5. Movie Night- All Mondays during Lent in the Rectory at 7:00pm- Lives of the Saints

• All groups were reached and confirmed on leading Stations & bringing soups and bread.  Paper goods to be supplied by the parish.

Help needed to fill Easter eggs being given to children of Mater Dei Parish & Holy water bottles (Saturday, March 14 ^th, after 9 am Mass)
 
 
Commercial vacuum being donated to St Mary’s church by 3 parishioners
 

• Small group after meeting made selection of which vacuum to order.  Will place order within the next few days.

 

• Christ Our Hope Capital Campaign

 

• Fr. Rijo gave a brief introduction of this campaign that the Diocese will be starting this spring for all parishes in Vermont.

 
Additional Information discussed:
 

• St. Mary’s exterior spring/summer flowers for both the church and the rectory.  Information was mentioned comparing 2018 & 2019 cost differential.  Brenda Isabelle(coordinator), will discuss with Robert Gosselin, landscaper for the City of Newport, the  different options and cost to help lower the expenses from last year.
• A parish family lost their home yesterday- Sunday, February 9^th to a fire.  We reached out to them to see if we the parish could help them in anyway.  They said they have great family support and appreciate the parish asking.  They asked that we keep them in our prayers.

 
Fr Rijo did a closing prayer for the family and a prayer for the coordinators.
